Jacob’s Blessing

27.27 Isaac meant the blessing for Esau.  In his mind the blessing did involve working the fields; it was not a life of leisure.  But actually he blessed Jacob, and God honored this blessing.  However the blessing for Jacob meant a life of hardship, sleepless nights, unfair treatment, family suffering. The blessing was not what he would have wanted, but he determined in the end to worship God.
